AMETEK Ameron Receives PMA approval on S4045/P1333 microphones

BALDWIN PARK, CALIFORNIA (January 21, 2025) – AMETEK Ameron, who has been a leader in aviation safety equipment parts including repair and overhaul solutions for over 50 years, has received Parts Manufacturing Approval (PMA) on the S4045 and P1333 Zodiac microphones for MF10 Series Crew Masks.

The MP1333 Capsule is an integral part of the OEM Zodiac Microphone Assembly MXA1016 and the MS4045-1 Capsule Assembly is an integral part of the OEM Zodiac Microphone Assembly MXA1035 and MXA1042.

The Zodiac MF10 Series Crew Mask Assembly provides emergency oxygen during unplanned events such as decompression, smoke, or toxic fumes. The Capsule Assy for which PMA has been given by the FAA to Ameron, is located inside the protection cover with a spacer. A Capsule Assy provides a means to communicate via the aircraft’s audio communication system.
